"Crusin' Nude" and Other Amazing Happenings!

Hi, everyone!  Oh my gosh, I have had such an awesome day I just don't know where to begin telling you about all the great things!

If you know me (or any other polish lover) you know I have a Wish List a mile long!  - I would love to share it on here if anyone can give me some instructions on how to make that a separate little page??? -  I was on eBay.com this morning hunting for some of the older colors I have on my list and came across a seller who had China Glaze's Champagne Kisses and Color Club's Wild at Heart!  I can't even tell you how long I have wanted these two colors because it has really just been too long for me to remember that far back.  So naturally I had to buy them!  I cannot wait to get these babies!

Back-tracking a little, just in case you didn't know, I will also be getting my hands on some striping tape, KBShimmers and Too Cute-icle colors I have been itching to mark off my list and hang up on my wall!!!  Can you say EPIC NAIL MAIL? Because I think that's what is going to be happening at my house over the next week!  NPR: I am also waiting on the amazing Big Sister/Little Brother shirts I ordered recently off Etsy, and my free 101 prints (of my wedding, honeymoon, and C's first day of school) from Shutterfly.com.  I love online shopping!  I am going to really miss it while I am jobless LOL....

OK, OK, back on track.  I have said it time and time again, and I will say it a million more times: the people in this community are amazing.  I have been welcomed with open arms by some very supportive, influential ladies who I have long admired.  I have gotten some very positive comments regarding my blog and I have made some new friends!  What happened today, you ask?  One of the ladies who I find to be super influential and inspiring is Maria of Cult Nails.  Today she sent me a lovely message in reply to a message I sent her.  Maria welcomed me to the community and was incredibly gracious enough to offer to send me some polish as a welcome gift.  I was stunned.  I actually squealed out loud a little bit.  What an incredibly kind thing for her to do!!!  I am so grateful for the opportunity to get this gift, her colors blow my mind and I am humbled that she would be so giving to a complete stranger with a brand new baby blog.  I really want to thank her and so I wanted to put a note about it on here as well as be sure to post some great swatches of her larger than life colors!

So, here is the very first Cult Nails color that I fell for--and fell for HARD, mind you!!  This is Cruisin' Nude.  A long time ago when I was just starting to realize there were Indie colors out there I happened to be hunting for the perfect nude at the same time.  When I came across Cruisin' Nude I absolutely knew I had to have her!  Luckily, my husband knows me well and he grabbed a bottle of this gorgeous shimmering color as well as Time Traveler (P.S. I am a Doctor Who FANATIC!) for my birthday.  Perfect gifts!

Cruisin' Nude is a very distinct nude shade in that it has a beautiful, subtle pink shimmer to it. While it is very apparent in the bottle and a tiny bit less apparent on the nails, it is nonetheless very impressive.  You can really catch the pink shimmer in the right lighting!  The formula for this polish is perfection.  I had very little clean up to do because it doesn't gloop around anywhere or give you any trouble.  One thick coat is opaque, but I put on two thin ones for this swatch to make sure I had full coverage.  This beauty is shown here with absolutely no top coat!  Just pure, natural shimmer and shine going on!  If you are looking for a nude color with a little pizazz and elegance Cruisin' Nude has just the pop you're looking for!

I went picture crazy with this shade because I really wanted to show you the pink shimmer!
Be sure to pop on over to Cult Nails and join the cult!  Maria's colors are beautiful and she has several limited edition shades out right now that you might want to snatch up.
As always, thank you for stopping by!  Take care until next time!

What's the first color on your Cult Nails wish list?  Mine is Toxic Seaweed!  Darn the luck that's all sold out right now......

  1. This is super pretty on you. To add a wishlist tab you need to add a page from your dashboard. The little drop down has a page option. Then click new page. I hope this is somewhat clear.
